ABOUT

Dr. Tiffany Nicole McBride is a native of Columbus, GA. Tiffany matriculated through the Muscogee County school district having attended Clubview Elementary, Richards Middle School, and Shaw High School. She is a proud graduate of Columbus State University (B.A. Mass Communications), University of Phoenix (Master of Business Administration), Troy University (Master of Science in Strategic Communications), and more recently, Mercer University (Ph.D.). Tiffany currently works at Columbus State University as an Assistant Professor of Communication. She is also the past diversity, equity, and social justice chair for the School of Communication and Journalism at Auburn University. ​

 

Currently, Tiffany’s volunteer commitments include the following: Vice President of the Urban League of Greater Columbus Young Professionals, Training and Development Chair for the Junior League of Columbus where she has been a member for 8 years, and she currently serves on the board of directors for Girls Inc. of Columbus, GA. Past board experience includes being the Vice President for the BRIDGE GED program of Columbus, GA and the Liberty Theatre Youth Council. Tiffany is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Columbus Alumnae Chapter. Tiffany selflessly gives back to her community and the universities she teaches at, every chance she gets.

 

Tiffany is also an ordained and licensed minister at The Remnant Church of Columbus and serves as the church's Youth Pastor and Executive Assistant.  In addition to Tiffany’s community service efforts, she has also been recognized as a Columbus and The Valley Five Under 40 Recipient (2023), Girl Scouts of Historic GA Woman of Distinction Honoree (2023), CSU Young Alumni Award recipient (2022) and has received several other service awards for her work to include: Junior League of Columbus President’s Award (2022), Columbus and The Valley Rising Star (2010) and is a graduate of Leadership Columbus (2014) and Youth Leadership Columbus (2004).

Tiffany is married to the love of her life, Mr. Demetrius Andrew McBride, who is an Eagle Scout and a business educator at Shaw High School. The one thing in life that Tiffany is most proud of is her ability to persevere even amid life’s ups and downs and completing her doctoral studies when life threw her many curve balls. Tiffany believes that by having strong faith in God, and the love and support of family and friends, anything is possible.
